What: The Happening movement is a youth lead spiritual renewing retreat which takes place at CAMP ALL SAINTS. During the weekend High School students are empowered to learn and grow closer to the Lord in the company of their peers.
When: November 13 - 15, 2020
*As we get closer to the event there will be several online meetings to prep - these will not conflict with youth groups.
Where: The weekend will be at CAMP ALL SAINTS in Pottsboro, TX.
Start & End Times: The weekend starts at 7:00pm and ends on Sunday with a closing service at 2:00 pm.

What is Happening?
Happening is an encounter with Jesus Christ and an instrument within the Anglican Tradition to renew the Christian church in the power of the Holy Spirit in order that the Church may respond more readily to its call to spread the Kingdom of God throughout the world. The Happening movement believes the Jesus Christ has and will continue to make a difference in the world and in individual lives. Happening is a Christian experience presented by teenagers for teenagers with the help of clergy and lay adult leadership. What happens at a Happening weekend?
The program begins on Friday evening at 7pm when participants arrive and continues until 2pm Sunday. Happening is a Christian experience presented by teenagers for teenagers. The student who is “Rector”, the clergy, and the staff of mostly student spend weeks working and praying together in preparation. Happening takes careful planning, as it is frequently the turning point in a student’s life. During the weekend those attending will listen to talks given by students and clergy. These presentations focus on such subjects and faith, grace, prayer the sacraments mission and Jesus Christ. In addition, there is time for fun, creating and sharing.
Not a Retreat
Happening is a once-in-a-life-time experience. The teachings of Jesus Christ are discussed with feeling of joy and happiness and there will be lots of singing and some games. Our faith is seriously examined in a relaxed, fun and informal atmosphere. Participants not only learn and grow, but also have a wonderful time. Clergy are present to assist with spiritual direction.
Who is Happening for?
Happening is designed for Senior High Students grades 9, 10, 11, and 12. A young person may attend Happening, as a participant once. Then, as team members and many times as he or she likes. Any number of youth form one church may attend. Parish sponsors are not required but youth ministers and sponsors may attend either as participants or volunteers. Youth or adults do not have to be Episcopalian to attend but preference will be given at registration.
Where is Happening held?
Happening is held at Camp All Saints, 418 Stanton Way, Pottsboro, TX 75076 What do participants need to bring to Happening? All participants, students or adult will need to bring: Bible, notebook or journal. Sleeping bag or twinsize bedding, towels, toiletries. Flashlight, seasonal clothing including closed-toed shoes, a refillable water bottle and an open mind.
It is the goal of Camp All Saints that no young person misses and event because of financial reasons. We offer scholarships for all our programs. Ideally, we ask families to pay 1/3, Churches 1/3 and Diocesan scholarship funds 1/3. For more information contact Camp All Saints 903-786-3148
